Met’ allon anthropou ergo II

In his individual art exhibition, Takis Varelas deals in consistency with the “modern” that is, with what the current society experiences in everyday life, to be in agony and struggle.

The primary sector and the vitality of the “exertive citizen”, unfold in his paintings in contrast to the brutality of the postmodern era. Being self-taught, he carved his own path, a path of continuous experimentation in materials, composition, form and content. Each sting was an opportunity to him for artistic preoccupation.

As the painter has stressed “art defines the relationship of workers to society and to the racked world, struggling and wanting to live a better life”.
